Nicki Minaj Ft. Will.I.Am - Check It Out …Or don’t.
I’m not a big fan of this song. I like Nicki’s verses in this, although I’ve yet to see a verse from her that compares to Kanye’s Monster. Like her inventive name, shocking demeanor and outlandish rhyme talent, it’s apparent that Nicki Minaj is this decade’s Foxxy Brown and Lil’ Kim.
Your Love is how to do a sample, not Check It Out. I feel like Will.I.am is hit or miss with a lot of his beats and melodies, and he could have “I Gotta Feeling”-ed the crap outta this single with the sample it uses, but it just has a stale hook and no real melodic substance other than The Buggles sample it has keeping it afloat.
